Who Am I?

Hi, I’m Julie, the multitasking creative behind Harris the Wild Haggis — Scotland’s fluffiest troublemaker with ears, eyes, and enthusiasm far too big for his tiny body.

When I’m not wrangling fictional haggises, I’m writing suspense thrillers full of twists, danger, and characters who refuse to do as they’re told. And if I’m not doing that, I’m probably out with my camera, chasing the perfect shot before it runs away (which it often does).

Books, thrills, and photography — welcome to my wonderfully chaotic creative world.

An illustrated story about the legend of the Whispering Cape, featuring a cute, fluffy dog wearing a tartan cape and standing on a rock in a scenic outdoor setting.

Finding beauty in every corner of the world, one quiet moment at a time.

Moments fade — photographs remember and hold feeling long after they pass. Each image is a soft archive of light and breath, a gentle promise that what touched us need not disappear. In the hush between beats, a face, a shadow, a pale ribbon of dawn keeps its place.

A world of stories, gently told in stillness.

These are the lives and places we gather: small gestures, subtle textures, the way silence shapes a scene. No rush, no loud declarations—just the careful noticing that lets ordinary things become extraordinary. Let these photographs be invitations: to slow, to look, to remember.
