Harris and the great Scottish Brew-Ha ha - Book 6
The Eucalyptus Eruption
‘We must stop the Grey Shadows from corrupting the Great Star‑Catcher — or the whole world will fall into chaos,’ Harris said to Oscar as they started on their request.
Harris and Oscar travelled to the Whispering Distillery as instructed by the demand of the High Council.
Something was not right; they both sensed.
The distillery no longer smelled like the finest heather whisky; it smelled like a giant cough drop.
As Harris and Oscar skidded to a halt on the cobbles, Harris’s wooden shoes let out a final, sticky squelch-clack.
Before them, the great copper stills, usually the pride of the North, were hissing with a frantic thud-thud-thud that made the very foundations of the distillery twitch.
High on top the main steam valve, looking like a koala who hadn’t slept since the Jacobite Rising, sat the ‘Invader from Down Under.’
Harris and Oscar both gawked at the strange-looking creature, wondering if it was a figment of their imaginations.
